Forbidden books

It is interesting to learn that liberal attitude towards the books and reading differs both in the time and in accordance to a country. Censorship started in the early times, when people were dependable on the church; many spheres of a human life were controlled by the religious canons and dogmas. Of course, everybody remember from the school program that some books were forbidden not only to read, but also to publish, re-write, touch or see. In the Middle Age these books were even fired in public. Poor authors!

Usually censorship concerns not only the so-called cheap novels, but the serious and volumetric works with the contrary, offensive, non-human, non-moral and antireligious ideas. As for the chip novels, it is interesting that there are some groups of the writer who try to re-write a frivolous book in order to make it more corresponding to the moral rules.

From the far times people used to make the lists of the forbidden books. Now this practice is quite popular all over the world. In the Muslim world many European books are forbidden as the works that develop non-natural inclinations and become opposite to their life-style and traditions. It concerns the Bible as well.

In the epoch of the new facilities and technical innovations censorship in the modern means of communication is very popular as well. As the new means are developing, all the world factors connected with them are developing too. I wonder if we are able to keep the speed in order to stay in the stream.
