But at all times there were people who succeeded to read much quicker than an average person did. For example, Mark Twain and Lev Tolstoy could read a thousand signs per minute. It is three times quicker than a usual person reads. But it does not mean that you can not read as quickly as these writers could. At least I guess they did not possess this talent from the very nature. They are usual people who tried to work over themselves and develop good inclinations. All you need for learning to read faster is your desire, correction of the mistakes, patience and practice.

Other myth is that it is very long to become proficient in fast reading. The professionals insist that it is possible to learn fast reading only in a month. In a month one is able to read all the texts quickly correcting the possible mistakes.

And the last stereotype is as following. They say that reading the texts too quickly, they lose most important information, the main idea. It is not true. One is able to read the texts of any complication and any theme as learning this skill you do not train speed only, but learn how to understand a text, select a main idea, and catch basic multiplying quality of text perception.
