Science fiction and fantasy

Science fiction is one of the most popular genres as well. Actually it is closely connected with the fairy-tales and fiction themselves. In the old times, when people believed in the supernatural and gods, science fiction became an embodiment of the beliefs and social ideas. Eventually beliefs transformed in accordance with the social events and changes. The stories about the Gods and mythical creatures mixed with the new tendencies and ideas and resulted into the science fiction that we find today. It is worthy distinguishing fantasy and science fiction. While science fiction aims to explain the world with the help of the modern science, fantasy is qualitatively different. The world in the fantasy exists as a possible world, at the same time an author does not specify the location of this world. It could be a different planet or the Earth. But all the unusual and fantastic events are considered to be normal and natural in a cut to all laws of nature and physics. The main difference is that all the wonders in fantasy are natural in a presented word and provide existence of the strange beings along with ordinary people.

It is interesting that science fiction and fantasy cause a vivid interest among not only the children, but adult people as well. Perhaps every of us is a small and dreamful child deeply in soul.
